Bacon & Cheese Macaroni

macaroniThis pasta recipe can easily be cooked on any small camping stove. Simply store your primula in a cool box with frozen ice packs to keep cool. This is a great camping or festival meal.

 

 

Ingredients

125g Smokey Bacon, chopped into little pieces
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 Small Onion
1 Red Pepper
1 Clove of Garlic
150g Tube Primula Cheese with Ham
3 tbsp milk
170g Macaroni

Method
  1. Bring a large pan of boiling water to the boil.  Add the macaroni and cook until tender.  Drain when cooked
  2. Heat a frying pan and add the bacon pieces.  Fry until cooked. Remove the bacon from the pan into a separate dish.
  3. Heat the olive oil and add the garlic, onion and red pepper.  Sauté until tender.
  4. Add the bacon back to the pan, stir in the cream and Primula.
  5. Stir in the macaroni and gently heat until warmed through.
  6. Serve at once.
