Available in three sizes: 400 (£340), 600 (£400) and 800 (£500) the Nevis range of family technical tents are new for 2010 and are based on Vango’s most popular tent within its family range, the Tigris, The Nevis tents offer a tunnel design giving the height and width needed to make a home away from home, as well as a host of technical features keeping both the females and males in your family and group happy.

 

If it is a home from home you are after the Nevis collection has all of the benefits and extras you would expect from a Vango family tent including: Crystal Clear windows with internal covers, pelmets, cable entry point, tidies and mesh doors and vents to allow air to circulate whilst preventing bugs from getting in.

 

The flexible bedroom configurations provide privacy for every member of the family and group whilst also allowing you to make the most of the light and airy sizeable living space whilst the fully sewn in groundsheet with a drop down section at the doors gives additional protection against drafts and bugs.

 

For those of you who prefer Vango’s technical tent collections the Nevis has plenty for you. The Protex® HC 5000 polyester flysheet has the same hydrostatic head as several of the Force Ten by Vango tents. Included with the tent are 14mm Powerlite Alloy poles making it much lighter in weight in comparison to traditional family tents. In addition to this the sewn in groundsheet is made from Polyethylene (PE) and has a 10,000 HH: over the years PE groundsheets have proven to be the most durable groundsheet fabric.

 

With the Nevis collection you are not only getting family and tech friendly features but you also get peace of mind thanks to Vango’s patented Tension Band System. TBS ensures that your tent performs in adverse weather conditions, especially strong changeable winds. For further peace of mind the Nevis tents also feature a storm skirt system in order to reduce drafts and prevent dirt from getting inside the tent from under the flysheet and a rain gutter on the zip cover.

 

Something that appeals to all campers is ease of pitching and the Nevis does not disappoint. With flysheet first pitching and colour coded poles the pitching time for these tents is minimal.
