Brighton Shoppers Conquer Everest To Celebrate Outdoor Store’s First Birthday

brighton_shoppers-001100’s of residents and visitors to Brighton city centre scaled a mini Mount Everest this weekend to help celebrate Kathmandu Brighton’s first birthday.

The world’s most famous mountain was brought to a busy shopping street so that onlookers could pay homage to the Kiwi outdoor store’s ‘live the dream’ ethos by conquering their very own mountain.

Those who took part in the Everest challenge were given a Polaroid keepsake of their adventure and also received an exclusive invitation to a ‘good old fashioned Kiwi party’ at the Brighton store.

Hannah Tombs, Kathmandu Brighton Store Manager commented; “The Everest experience was a really fun filled event and we’re extremely pleased with how many people found their sense of adventure and took part in the challenge.

“Kathmandu is a great outdoors brand and we want to encourage people everywhere to get out there and have fun whether that’s backpacking around the globe or a weekend walk in the Downs.”

To aid the birthday celebrations, participants who visited the Brighton store and showed their Polaroid received a free Birthday gift, birthday cake and a special birthday discount promotion ran throughout the store so those wanting to buy products could do so at a one off discounted rate.
