Coleman Rock Springs Tent Review

rocksprings1oWe took this tent to The Big Chill Festival, a glorious sun filled weekend. The Coleman Rock Springs is a great festival dome tent with loads of ventilation and storage space.

Spacious 4 person dome tent with an integrated groundsheet offering that secure home-like feel at the campsite. The front porch area with large PVC view windows is perfect for storage and lets you check out the conditions before you step outside in the morning. Review:

Coleman’s Rock Springs tent is a basic dome tent with an integral groundsheet with a handy porch area and large windows giving you plenty of space for storage at a festival. The Coleman Rock Springs would be a great tent for three people, but would be a bit snug for four. There is certainly lots of room in the storage area out front for your crates of beer and mud caked wellies. The tent has door openings at the front and rear of the tent, which can be opened up giving much needed ventilation, and is useful when you wake up in the morning to find someone has pitched up in what was your doorway. In hot weather there was quite a large amount of condensation build up on the inside of the tent, which eventually dripped through the inner mesh if slightly disturbed. That said, it didn't seem to have the reverse problem and the tent was toasty warm when it was cold at night. This isn’t really a tent for those who like their home comfort when they are camping as the space is limited and it it’s a hot day you will need to vacate it nice and early before the sun comes up. However this tent does pack up small and is made from lightweight materials, so I'd recommend it for two to three people who are keeping down the amount they need to carry. A great little festival tent for early risers.
