- Hilarious games to play all summer long, from toe-wrestling to human snail races

- Effortless recipes for refreshing cocktails and delicious festival food

With Summer Living in your hand, you can keep the festival spirit alive all year round.

summerliving-001Fundamentally this book is a guide to make your summer full of Big Chill moments. If you are a fan of the Big Chill festival then this book is a great guide to keeping that Big Chill Festival feeling going. There is a directory to the rear of the book giving you a listing of other festivals to try including food and drink festivals and literary festivals. Festivals are grouped by month and by genre making it easier to plan your summer months in advance. It’s a great introduction to festival life and encourages the reader to make the most of the summer and all that England has to offer. However this is not a year round guide as the suggestions run from May to September, the main festival and camping season. So if you are looking for handy hints to keep that summer feeling going all year then this book may disappoint a little. But for die hard Big Chill and festival fans such as us here at Perfect Pitch Magazine the photos and graphics are enough to make us love this book. There are not just handy hints for festivals but for camping too. There’s advice on how to choose and pitch a tent, camping without a tent, how to build a fire, weather watching and stargazing.

Some festivals are highlighted for each month and further information is given on how to make the most of your stay. If you are looking to extend your visit there are tips for places to see, stay and places to eat and drink. The Big Chill festival features as one of the main festivals to attend, along with Bestival and End of The Road festival. This book is full of quirky suggestions such as how to brew your own beer, skive off work, and go naturist.
